Only two films are announced: Frankenstein (1931) and The Lost Boys. The rest (four more movies) is "all surprise", so it's pot-luck time. And, it's all 35mm film!

Note: Another Horror Marathon is in the works for L.A.! Get your bank account and butts ready!

That's a great line-up for L.A. Not sure if it's worth a plane ticket across the country, but it's a great set of films. (If you don't go, LAConnection, I will have to suspect you have been taken over by a seed pod.)

There is a slew of horror films playing in LA. When I have time I will post all the events. There are at least 2 all-nighters, and maybe a 3rd. Plus 2 film festivals and many screenings throughout town. I'm guessing over a 100 titles if you were able to make it all….It would be quite the vacation if you could fly in for the entire month.

There are two 24-hour marathons in Chicago this year, and have been for the last two years. There used to just be one, The Music Box Massacre, but the people who organized the show took the Massacre to a different theater in 2012 and the Music Box Theatre decided to do their own marathon as well. It's been an embarrassment of riches ever since!

Music Box of Horrors (October 11-12):
http://www.musicboxtheatre.com/festival ... of-horrors
Announced line-up so far (all 35mm unless noted): The Phantom Carriage, Nightmare (aka Nightmares in a Damaged Brain), The Curse of the Werewolf, The Man They Could Not Hang, Audition (Takashi Miike), Dead Snow 2: Red Versus Dead (digital projection)

Movieside Massacre (same weekend as Shock Around the Clock, Oct. 18-19):
https://www.facebook.com/events/683261171729311/
Announced line-up so far (mix of digital projection and 16mm prints): The Unknown, Black Christmas, Targets, Chopping Mall (Jim Wynorski in person), The Deadly Spawn (Douglas McKeown in person), Tenebrae, Eaten Alive, The Fog & Day of the Dead, as well as local shorts, trailers, etc.

Exhumed Films out of Philadelphia does a 24-hour marathon at the International House. It's sold out within hours the last couple of years, but people usually have tickets up for sale on their Facebook page (and eventually event page when they get it set up). One major difference between the Exhumed Films Horrorthon and other 24-hour marathons is that they don't announce the lineup in advance at all. You find out what the lineup is as each film starts! They've always been killer, and they always screen film prints (except one year they premiered "The Dead," which was the only digital projection at any of their horrorthons to date). This year's horrorthon is October 25-26th. Check their Facebook page for more info:

Does anyone know of any other 24-hour horror marathons around the country?
