I have been intentionally avoiding watching any films that I feel could potentially play the marathon. Looking forward to being able to watch what I want. Last night I passed on watching Evil Dead and Late Phases for fear they could be in the lineup. Instead I watched Assault On Precinct 13. Man, so good. It's been awhile since I watched that one.

5 hours and counting until the lineup announcement.

The Castle of the Living Dead

The theme of this event Was "Alternate titles" it started with "They Came From Within" in which the title on the Screen was "Shivers" and than "Vampire Hookers" had an on screen title of "Teenage Graveyard Tramps" and not to leave out the trailers the "The Castle of the Living Dead" trailer was not for the 1964 Christopher Lee film instead it was an alternate title for the 1973 Christopher Lee and Peter Cushing film "Nothing but the Night"

As soon as I read "Nothing But The Night", I KNEW I had seen it before. Great movie. I'm truly glad that Shivers screened, because the first time it showed with me in the audience at a previous SATC a few years back, I unfortunately lost my battle with the sleep demons and they got the better of me. Those evil (insert cussword of choice here). ;)

Those intermission clips are PRICELESS. Not enough can be said about how they enhance the whole experience.

Given the other things Pavo approves of, I'm not sure if I should be happy about that.

I am patiently awaiting the Pavo sequal/spinoff Vampire Hookers 2: Pavo's Night Out.

Would watch.

Man, that poster mock-up is a Horror Fan's dream. Gorgeous.

After the fun was over forgot to formally annoint you two guys Official Great Americans for screening my beloved VAMPIRE HOOKERS. A hoot & a holler & the most fun I had watching a movie for quite a while. Nothing like enjoying a movie on the big screen, especially a 35mm print. Any scratches or fading makes me smile remembering when we had four drive-ins close by. Only one now and they went digital. A super cheap second run theater which had been at a mall for over twenty years had to close because film prints were becoming unavailable. Sad.
Keep your powder dry and shoot low cause they might be crawlin', Dan
Oops! Almost forgot: Merry Christmas and a Happy Fulfilling Future :D
