The Ohio Sci-Fi and Horror Marathons

For anyone wanting 2 marathons this year, take a short road trip up to Chicago for the Music Box's annual 24 hour Box of Horrors marathon. Almost entirely 35mm projection no less! Lots of obscure titles to drool over.

I love that theatre. I went to that marathon 4 yrs back. They usually have a special guest Q & A with someone affiliated with one of the films.

The year I went they had the director of Squirm and also Sybil Danning for Howling 2.

This year's lineup looks great too!

The final line up and schedule are out. Though I really hope they change one thing with the schedule. They're playing the silent film The Unknown at 10:45pm but starting with Serpent and the Rainbow. Seems like they should switch that out. Also added are the Chicago premiere of The Devil's Candy with star Ethan Embry as guest. Bill Lustig, the director of Maniac will also be a guest. Also included is a 35mm print of Ganja and Hess.
