The Ohio Sci-Fi and Horror Marathons

Did anyone tune in? If so, how is it? I would've watched but I don't get Starz.

I really enjoyed it. It brings back the same feeling and tone Evil Dead 2. The first ep is free to watch on Starz website. I'd discuss it it in length further if anyone else watches it.

It was perfect!

I watched the first episode online, and quite enjoyed it. Even though this is the same network that gave us Spartacus, I was still a little surprised at the way they shot the decapitations and whatnot. I guess Starz really is letting them do whatever they want, which is cool.

And yea, definitely in keeping with the sense of humor in Evil Dead 2, rather than the pure horror tone of Evil Dead. However, I'm really keeping my fingers crossed that they don't go overboard with the slapstick, like Army of Darkness... I'm one of those people who was a big fan of Evil Dead 2, and then felt really disappointed with Army of Darkness.

Anyway, I'd love to keep watching it, but don't have cable. Would love to hear how it develops, if someone is watching the whole season! I'll probably buy it on DVD, if I hear good things about it.
