Hmmm...I'd have to go with:

Ichi the Killer (2001)
One of the few films I have ever seen where I caught myself practically climbing out of my chair. Some consider it hyper-violent, some consider it cartoonish...it's hard for me to say. Stars the always awesome Tadanobu Asano.

Critters (1986)
Yeah, I know, but the idea of small things like that able to hide under the bed gets me...

The Abominal Dr. Phibes(1971)
This one always always fascinated me as a kid when I used to watch it on Night Owl Theatre. I loved the whole tongue-in-cheek horror of it.

28 Weeks Later (2007)
I should have gotten off my butt and gone to see this at the theatre. I loved the first film.

Night of the Creeps (1986)
For some reason, I find this one really funny.

Oldboy (2003)
Some definite violence and horror (a scene involving a hammer comes to mind) both physically and mentally. This one stuck with me for a long time.

For some reason, nothing from the 1990s is on here...hmmm.

Some great suggestions so far. I'll add a few.

TALES FROM THE CRYPT (1972) - Amicus Horror anthology.
DEATHDREAM (1974) - Another Bob Clark flick that is very relevant today.
ALICE (1988) - Not technically Horror, but I guarantee Svankmajer is always high on the creepy factor!
RETURN OF THE LIVING DEAD (1985) - Yes, I know it's everywhere, but this is a great crowd movie.
LET SLEEPING CORPSES LIE (1974) - Surprisingly strong Zombie flick with some good scares.
GHOSTBUSTERS (1984) - Do I really need to explain?

I would love to see these movies:

Slaughter High (peeling faces is cool)
Two Thousand Maniacs!
Demon Knight(You guys kept on saying Tales From the Crypt)
Children Shouldn't Play with Dead Things
Critters (I think that would be a great in the middle of the night one)
Henry: Portrait of a Serial Killer
Trancers (just kidding)
The Last House on the Left

Six films...tough one...

--TCM (original of course)
--Any of the old Hammer House of Horror films from the 70's (loved watching these when I was a kid)
--Motel Hell (slasher flick that is so bad it's good...often forgotten)
--The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari (classic!)
--Sleepaway Camp (because it is so campy!)
--Dog Soldier's (loved it at Studio 35 a few years back, and would love to watch it again at any marathon!)

no bonus points for originality, but would love to see Day fo the Woman, too. Have it on DVD, but would love to see it on the big screen!

Just re-read this stream and I see that someone suggested Satan's Cheerleaders! How could I have forgotten that film! Would love to see that at a marathon! Kind of a tribute to Yvonne DeCarlo. Nice pick, man!

Some great suggestions so far. I know it's more than 6, but I'd like to add (and reiterate..):

Stagefright (1987) (aka: Deliria, Stagefright: Aquarius, Bloody Bird, etc) - ..A fun, well-paced slasher movie.

Night Of The Demons - A tried and true dumb, fun, crowdpleaser. Plus it's Halloween season appropriate...

Prince Of Darkness - In my humble opinion, the most severly underrated of all John Carpenter's movies.

Madman - Yep..another slasher. So good though!!

Tales From The Crypt (1972) - Don't know why I like this one so much. My choice for the "old" movie..

Nightmare In A Damaged Brain - (or maybe just the scene it's most famous for..)

Hellraiser - No explanation needed

Slumber Party Massacre - I know I can't be the only one who wouldn't complain about numerous slasher movies in a marathon..and this one is so much fun with a crowded theater...

Xtro - This would get mixed reactions I'm sure, but it's too odd and (somehow) sick to not be considered.

Amityville II: The Possesion - Hey, it's the only one in the series where something actually happens. I like it.

Cannibal Ferox (aka Make Them Die Slowly) - Call me crazy, but I like it more than Cannibal Holocaust. Good, cheesy, late-night crowd movie.

Day Of The Dead - Maybe too obvious a choice, but who doesn't love this one...

I totally agree, this is a great horror film plus it has Alice Cooper in it and he kills Boz from "Riptide" what more could you ask for?

Here is my lousy two cents...

1. Mad Monster Party (I just think this would be to cool to see on a big screen)

2. Mark Of The Devil

3. Pumpkinhead

4. Trick Or Treat (if just for the fastway songs at 3 am)

5. Undead (any homage to Peter Jackson's early work is cool add that with some kick ass John Woo gunplay)

6. Frankenhooker (not shown at a marathon since what 91? when Patty Mullins was in costume)

7. The Beyond (Fulci lives)

8. Toolbox Murders (the orginal sleazy hack and slice version)

although I won't hold my breath for This Trick or Treat would ROCK (pun intended) I saw Trick or Treat when if first came out and love it to this day, this movie (like FASTWAY) was highly under-rated

Yea as did i in what 8th grade? my friend's older brother (both massive KISS fans) bought us tickets at the old Westland general cinema..I had read somewhere before that the original plan was to make Sammi Curr a franchise much like Jason and Freddy. I don't know how well that would have worked out but this is for sure a very highly under rated movie..

Plus it's always fun to see the Metal posters on the wall and relive your speed and thrash heros of youth

Plus, it's great fun to see Skippy from Family Ties as a metalhead and Ozzy as a televangelist. Too bad they used a Solid Gold Dancer as Sammi Curr. :)

MAD MONSTER PARTY would be the shit on the big screen. It's not a great film overall, but it has some amazing scenes and fantastic Rankin/Bass stop-motion animation. Plus, it has KARLOFF!!!

Frankenhooker would be fun! I has at the marathon were Patty Mullins was in costume. I was 18 years old and seeing a penthouse pet in person was awsome!!
