Love this film, snagged it DVD the day it came out. Just to see Kurt Russell, one of cinema's quintessential badasses screaming and balling like a baby was worth it alone.
That plus the first crash...damn!

I bought the DEATH PROOF DVD this weekend, although I saw this in the GRINDHOUSE double feature I can't wait to watch the DVD and all the EXTRAS in this 2 disc set. Also as bonus you get a 5.00 off coupon for the PLANET TERROR DVD. I know that DEATH PROOF was not the fan favorite of the 2 movies but I liked it. I am hoping to be able to find a couple hours this week to sit down and watch it and all the extras. |

I really enjoyed DEATH PROOF and found it to be more like the exploitation films that GRINDHOUSE was an homage to than PLANET TERROR. PT was a lot of fun, but wasn't too awfully different from a lot of RR's other films. I did feel that the longer version of DEATH PROOF was inferior to the theatrical cut. It felt long in places whereas the theatrical cut didn't. I still like the film, though. |
