Ok I must see Nillson and Ringo Starr in this Horror Rock-N-Roll Comedy. Does anyone know where I can find a copy of this movie on DVD or VHS?

The whole film is also posted on Youtube.com and also possibly available through many sources such as Nightcrew Video,Midnight Video,Horror Theatre Video, etc. Basically all the people who used to advertise in Psychotronic.

That looks like a bootleg. I hope you didn't pay much for it.

I bought the DVD from eBay. I had an inferior version that I downloaded from a P2P program, and I was very pleased with the video and audio from the DVD bootleg that I received.

The film is not that great (especially the opening scene with Dracula.. why does the King of the Netherworld go down so easily? You would think he would put up more of a fight), but if you look at it as a horror music video showcase then it's not too bad.

The music mix is different than the soundtrack album (I have the original vinyl LP and the Japanese CD.. I also have a shirt that has the "Bite It" iron-on transfer that was included in the LP).. The Count Downes are quite a collection of musical greats (including Peter Frampton, Klaus Voorman, Jon Bonham and Keith Moon) and I have always had a special place in my heart for British horror of the 70's (Hammer, Amicus, etc..)

If you are into Harry Nilsson, it is worth picking up. If you are just a fan of horror films, this probably isn't your cup of tea.

I recently bought this on bootleg DVD off ioffer.com and the quailty was pretty bad but watchable. I never even knew this movie existed until I saw the trailer for it at the horror movie marathon in October and I was thus was set upon my quest to find and watch this movie. The movie itself is god aweful but I must say for some strange reason I would probably buy this on a real DVD if it were released. Not sure what the elure of this movie is maybe because it proves that being a beatle means you can do anything even make movies. On the plus side the music was good.

I just wanted to give a big “thank you” to usinoh. I’ve been looking for a copy of “the electric grandmother” for over a decade. The only hits I’ve gotten are VHS copies that are too expensive and a little suspect. I took a look at ioffer.com and found a DVD copy for a very reasonable price. My long search is finally over, thanks!

Your very welcome, infra-kid turned me onto ioffer.com awhile back and I love it, lots of hard to find dvd's, yes they are boots but most are good quality with artwork. I am thinking of buying Twins of Evil from ioffer.com since it's never had an official release.

I may have to grab a copy of The Traveling Executioner on DVD from ioffer sometime. They showed the trailer at a horror marathon a couple years ago and it looked very funny.
