Post subject:  HORRORTHON '08 TICKETS NOW ON SALE!

Tickets are now on sale for the 5th Annual INCREDIBLE TWO-HEADED MARATHON: DON'T GO IN THE DREXEL! Four More Years! Horror Hosts' Horrific Horrorthon 5 at 10:00 PM Saturday, October 18 until noon Sunday, October 19 at the DREXEL THEATRE, 2254 East Main Street in Bexley.
Tickets are $20.00
at the Drexel during theatre hours
or at the Laughing Ogre, 4258 North High Street.
Tickets may also be purchased via PayPal at $22 each to PayPal account scifimarathon@hotmail.com.

Your oh so experienced Horror Hosts both advocate change, the real kind of real change that we really, really need. So we bid a fond adieu to the Drexel Grandview both as the haunted home to so many past 'thons and as a marathon ticket sales venue. Don't go to the Grandview looking for Marathon tickets. They don't have any.

Joe's vague film clues did generate two correct guesses (wild stabs?!). Most or all of this year's films will be announced here and via email to the Marathon email list in the next few days. A flier should be appearing around town by next weekend. Go ahead - Hold your breath! Turn blue!

Stay sick!

Don't get me wrong, I LOVE the Drexel horror marathons, and normally I would be running out the door to get my ticket. But not a single movie has been announced. My problem is, the Yellow Springs Horror Marathon is the week after the Drexel marathon and they have announced their movies something like 2 weeks ago. I'm a full time student and money is tight, therefore I can only go to one marathon. Usually that would be a no brainer, Drexel would win every time ... But I don't feel right buying a ticket when I have absolutely no idea what I will be seeing. For the first time in the many years that I've been going to the Horror 'thon, I'm going to have to wait and see who has the better lineup.

If it's any consolation, we're holding off until later today or early tomorrow to announce the full lineup, mainly to see if we can confirm the two premieres we're eyeing. Hang in there.

That''s true, I would have liked to have some official movie announcements before buying my ticket, but I know I won't be traveling down to Yellow Springs. Also I just figured I'm a marathon regular for many years now and I've never been disappointed.

If the lineup isn't to my liking I suppose I could always sell or return the ticket.

I got tix 13 and 14 at Drexel East, although I had to spend a few minutes convincing the kid behind the counter that there were, indeed, tickets available.

I got 125-127 or 124-126 from the Ogre. The envelope said 101-150. I got mine around 5 pm on Saturday (10/4.)
