Here's the sequence of films for this year's
5th Annual INCREDIBLE 2-HEADED MARATHON
Don't Go In the Drexel!

10PM Saturday KILL BABY KILL
12 midnight LET THE RIGHT ONE IN - Midwest Premiere
2AM MEET THE FEEBLES
4AM THE FOG
6AM an unannounced film
8AM CANNIBAL FEROX
10AM THE HILLS HAVE EYES

The streets of Bexley will run red with the blood of marathoners, or at least bleed with runners of the Columbus Marathon. Please be aware that that other Columbus Marathon will be passing by in the morning. Drexel Ave and East Main St west from Drexel will be closed from about 7AM to 10AM. If you need to come or go during those hours, you'll need to park east of Drexel or south of Main. Cars parked along the route will be towed. Be afraid! Be very afraid!

I won't be able to go this time. Looks like a great lineup. Finances being what they are, I can't drive 6 hours for only 14 hours when I have Chicago's 24 hour marathon 2 miles from me next weekend. Meet the Feebles would be my highlight. Haven't seen that with an audience before. I just saw Hills Have Eyes at a mini-marathon a couple of months ago. The Fog would be awesome, (not since the last Drexel North RIP). Cannibal Ferox I could do without, but I've never seen it so... I will be with you all in spirit though .

Would the unannounced movie happen to be Nightmare on Elm Street since it's playing at the campus theatre Saturday night as well?

In reply to the last poster's question:

I WISH it had been "A Nightmare On Elm Street"! I really did not care for "Anguish" at all. It was confusing as HELL!!!! Freakin' EINSTEIN would not have understood it! a movie within a movie, or.....a movie blended with another movie or.... (shrugs shoulders) WHO KNEW WHAT that movie was about?

Moving on....

I really loved the trailers of the remakes. However, there are some trailers that I really wish had been shown, such as the trailers for the remakes of:

(from oldest remakes to newest remakes)

The Thing
The Blob
The Fly
Village Of The Damned
Night Of The Living Dead
Bram Stoker's Dracula
Mary Shelley's Frankenstein
House On Haunted Hill
The Haunting
House Of Wax
13 Ghosts
Willard
The Amityville Horror
War Of The Worlds
The Invasion
I Am Legend
Quarantine
The Day The Earth Stood Still

and also, trailers for remakes of Asian horror films:

The Ring
The Grudge
Dark Water
Pulse
The Eye
One Missed Call
Mirrors

It wasn't a part of the "remake block", but they did show the trailer for John Carpenter's "The Thing." It was right before "The Fog".

A lot of people don't know this, but John Carpenter's "The Thing" is a remake itself. It is a remake of "The Thing From Another World". I'm sure that many of you on here know that, but just in case you don't....

John Carpenter also remade Village of the Damned.

Another horror movie trailer they should have showed which was part of the recent horror movie remake craze, was the trailer for the remake of "The Hitcher".

I have a few complaints about the movie theater that the horror marathon was at, and will probably continue to be at from now on:

The cup dispensers.....Where the heck are the bottoms of them? If you try to put ANYTHING other than a drink that is bigger on top than it is on the bottom, it will slide through the hole and there goes your drink.........

The sale of alcoholic drinks.......... Now THERE'S a good idea! Sell the world's most talk inducing kind of drink on the entire planet Earth, at the ONE type of place where talking should not be allowed (except during movie marathons, where talking should be allowed but only if someone really has something funny to say, which COULD come from drunk people, but, drunk people tend to talk on and on AND ON AND ONNNNNNN.... Do you get my point? lol

I have some ideas for movies to be shown at the next horror movie marathon:

I'm sure that everyone here would love to finally see these first two movies, from having seen the trailer of them at all of the previous marathons:

POPCORN

WEREWOLVES ON WHEELS

And this one is the ultimate marathon movie:

GRINDHOUSE - the entire thing, with PLANET TERROR, all of the fake movie trailers, and then DEATH PROOF. I just want to point out "the entire thing", since they sell the movies seperately, and show them seperately on movie channels.

CREEPSHOW 2 - For some reason, most people on Earth hate this movie. For me, it is one of the greatest horror films ever. This sucker actually gave me nightmares, not A nightmare, nightmareS, more than one night. True, it doesn't have its scare potential on me anymore, but, I still love this film dearly, and it is a collection of three tales.

SPOILER ALERT!!

Most people's favorite from this, is THE RAFT. For me, its OLD CHIEF WOOD'N'HEAD, the first tale. Old Chief Wood'nHead is the reason WHY I had those nightmares.

Other ideas for horror films to show in future marathons:

I'm a huge fan of horror films that are collections of short stories, like -

CREEPSHOW
CREEPSHOW 2
CREEPSHOW 3
CAMPFIRE TALES
TALES FROM THE CRYPT
VAULT OF HORROR
NIGHT TRAIN TO TERROR
AFTER MIDNIGHT
NECRONOMICON: BOOK OF THE DEAD
TALES FROM THE DARKSIDE: THE MOVIE

Another thing I'd love to see at future horror marathons are clips of horror films, set to music, like Rob Zombie's "Boogieman" or "The Freaks Come Out At Night".

At least this theater has cup holders

Yeah, except the large cups are just slightly too big to fit.
