This movie has been held up for over a year...There were trailers last year everywhere and then nothing. I for one think it would be a great film for the marathon. |

We tried to line this up for SHOCK AROUND THE CLOCK, but the DVD is out next week and the distributor is refusing to let the film be screened after the DVD release. TRICK' R TREAT wiil be screening on Thursday, October 1 at 7:30 p.m., followed with a Q.& A. with Michael Dougherty. A couple finds what happens when they blow a jack o' lantern out before midnight, a high school principal has a secret life as a serial killer, a college virgin might have met the right guy for her, a group of mean teens play a prank that they take too far, and a hermit is visited by a special trick or treater. "Great Scary Fun! Almost as perfect a horror comedy as can be made." - Jeremy Knox, Film Threat Columbus native Michael Dougherty is a screenwriter who is known for his work on the scripts for Bryan Singer's films X2 and Superman Returns. This was freaking fantastic. A true return to 1980s horror. I absolutely loved this movie and can’t wait to pick it up on DVD on Tuesday. |

I second that!! I am so glad I pre-ordered the blu-ray months ago. TRICK R TREAT was like Creepshow meets pulp Fiction. I was a little disappointed that the film was blu-ray projected even though it still looked amazing. The writer/director said that there are 35mm prints available so that should be something to shoot for in a future marathon. |
