The Ohio Sci-Fi and Horror Marathons

scottcoz, I'm right there with you. I'm getting to the stage where, hard as I try, I inevitably pass out at some point. It's okay. Just think of us as the old grandfathers sleeping through the game on Thanksgiving. Every once in a while, we'll wake up, fart, and make a comment before we drift off again.

I do think that the 24-hour ones are easier on the system, though, as I've often had to work all day before driving to Columbus for the evening ones. Then you wait in line for an hour or so. By the time the first couple of films are over, I'm beat. With the longer 'Thon, I can relax beforehand. Save my energy. Then, it's alllll goooooddd.

not sure why but the older I get the easier it is for me to stay awake. Not sure why.

OK - I may have to come back for this event. The Return of 24hours is BIG! It's been difficult living on the west coast to make the marathons, so I have not bothered coming for the 12 hour events. Now I just need to get off work......

Thanks to Joe and Bruce for returning to the 24 hour format. Can't wait to see the new Grandview theater!

Heh - alas, I no longer have it, so you won't get to see it in person. After growing it for a year and a half, the 'stache and I had to part ways after it attacked me! As I lay down one night to go to sleep, and rolled over on my side, the pillow pushed the 'stache up into my eyeball!

That was when I learned, comically large moustaches are way eviller than goatees!

Holy crap! That thing IS real! A 'stache like that takes dedication. I salute you.

Hooray!! Not only will I be able to attend but a 24 hr marathon!?!?! This is exciting news. I can't wait to see the line-up!!

I'm so glad that the horror thon returns to the 24 hour format. I can't wait! How about The Return of the Living Grandview Featuring the Two Headed Host Joe and Bruce.

It's great that you were finally able to get 24 hours again this year. It's too bad that apparently you won't have any movies to show.
