I just saw this amazing movie and WOW..

I am very VERY upset with myself that i did not wait to see it at the marathon on a big screen!! I mean Ron Perlman and Angus Scrimm together?

Everyone is in for a great treat with this film!!!

I've also heard very good things about this one. It's the ability to see smaller films like these that make the Marathons a can't-miss proposition. I couldn't stop talking about LET THE RIGHT ONE IN last year. By the time the Library's copies came in, there were over 100 people on the wait list. They had to buy extra copies! All because of the Columbus Marathon.

You know the mainstream popularity of "Let the right one in" kinda shocked me not cause it was bad it's quite brilliant but it has taken off big time on the DVD release.. I even saw it listed along with Dead Snow, in several fields on the voting page for Spikes FEAR awards..

It proves that there is indeed a place for smart stylish horror in the US again

Did they get the good subtitles or the dumbed down ones? I had a couple people get the bad version and they wondered why I was raving about the movie. While the visuals were still the same, the film suffered with the redo. I'm gald to see they re-released with the original sub-titles.

The biggest problem of re-issuing it with the original sub-titles was that if you ordered it online there is no way of knowing if it was the version with the dumbed down titles..

I've been told that you need to watch specifically for "SUBTITLES: English (Theatrical)" in order to get the correct version.

Both listings on Amazon still seem to point to the old version, and be aware that the distributor will NOT swap out the re-issued copies.

Yeah, and unfortunately my Bluray copy of LTROI had already shipped from Amazon before the "bad subs" word got out.

Yeah, I had a few friends accidentally try to watch the film with the dub, since it defaults to it. Ugh. They unanimously thought I was off-my-rocker to have loved the film. Most turned it off. I told them to go back and watch with the subs, but with the understanding that the included subs are nowhere as well-written as the Theatrical subs. I'm still pissed about that whole debacle.

UGH Twilight. Doesn't people know that the whole mortal fall in love in a vampire story have been told before? Buffy, the Sookie Stackhouse books just to name a few. Twilight makes the first Street Fighter movie watchable. Twilight UGH.

I do have to say that the Rifftrax guys did one of their best commentary tracks for TWILIGHT. It's the only way the film is watchable.

Blockbuster has this now as an exclusive release, and a new edition of the film hits shelves March 30th.
