You may recall many many times in Marathons past when we've talked about archiving the voluminous piles of information associated with these events.

*rumble, rumble*

Hmmm, thunder? No? Anyway, you may have even heard people like Joe or myself say things like the following ...

Quote:
Though I know we promise this every year, there is an outstanding action item to get the three of us into a room (with Jen, if she can stand to be around us that long Smile) and compile a canonical history of all things Marathoid for publishing to the website. But, as we also say every year ... we ain't there yet. :?

*rumble ... rumble*

Damn, I know I heard something. Well, anyway, for more than a year, ominous rumors have been privately circulating among high-level western leaders that Baneful Bartoo and Nefarious Neff might actually have opened their archives for a few, brief glimpses ...

*RUMBLE*

What the-?

*HUGE EXPLOSION*
*THUNDER AND LIGHTNING FROM THE SKIES*
*HELLMAW OPENING BENEATH OUR FEET*

{insert Wilhelm Scream here}

Oh, that's what this is all about. :)

Sorry, without further ado (or theatrics), allow me to present to you all the Grand Opening of our own little Marathoid Night Gallery!

http://www.scifimarathon.com/Horror/horrorgallery/

Feast upon the memories (and the souls) of those who have gone before you. See the sights never before dared to be shown! Pictures, programs, fliers, you name it ... all for your viewing pleasure.

We do not have Uploading turned on at this time, though we may at a later date. Check back.

And yes ... the Sci-Fi Marathons will have a gallery of their own, we're just tinkering with the presentation before we unleash that monstrosity.

This isn't everything we have, but it ought to be enough to get the feeding frenzy started. More will follow, I promise you.

Nit picker/copy editor, here. I do not believe the Two headed marathons started in 1999. Nor did it end in 2007, but went through 2008.

This is what the main page lists.

The Incredible Two Headed Marathons (1999-2007)

I think the others might be right, though I didn't do the horrorthons back in the day. I used to only be a SciFi guy.

Otherwsie, I really like the site and I am looking forward to seeing the SciFi site. I concur the M&M photo is priceless.

Minor category slip (the sub-categories have the correct dates of individual marathons), duly noted and corrected. There may be more, feel free to point them out as you find them.

WOW! Thank you so much for this. This brought back so many memories. Does my heart good to see pictures of the old Drexel North.

I am enjoying perusing through all the various images. I am a sucker for nostalgia, and I have saved all my marathon programs and flyers. I don't have as many Horror Marathon memories, so this is nice.

I was wondering, are there any plans to archive the films shown as a list? A few of the events had last minute replacements and/or cancellations, and some of the programs list a "Surprise" or a "?". It would be nice to fill in the blanks.

I know that the last Horror Marathon I was able to attend in 1994 had numerous changes from what was announced in the flyers to what ended up in the program. For the curious like myself, the surprise film that year was Dawn of the Dead. And I've heard stories told before that this was the Esteemed Mr. Neff's first ever viewing of this iconic masterpiece, and in many ways that experience molded him into the Marathoid Legend he is today.

"Molded him"?

As in
a) toxic black mold?
b) that steel wooly stuff from MUTINY IN OUTER SPACE?
c) MATANGO: FUNGUS OF TERROR?
or
d) just the fungus among us?

I think I will have to go with "d" on that one. :)

I've often considered myself to be the fungus (part residue from Kevin S. O'Brien-approved NIGHT OF THE LIVING BREAD action figure, part Domino's pizza crust, part chili particle from 1992 Horror Marathon's failed "Up With Chili" concessions experiment) that grew up around Bruce's feet at the Drexel North, clung to his shoes during the Riffe Center years, and eventually worked its way into his brain stem.

Awesome beyond belief! I think I saw an old friend of mine from high school in 1992. Wild! Great seeing the old Drexel North. I wish there was a photo of the great cloud of smoke that was the lobby...It's hard to believe that there was a time when hundreds of people could smoke in the lobby of a movie theater.

DING!

Only Trivial Pursuit question I ever beat my Sister to. Drove her nuts every time it came up.

In the "Whoops I missed this" category:

I would not rule this out, though we haven't started work on it at this time. It will probably be a page separate from the Gallery. I'm tinkering with some ideas for my own pages and some form of it will probably end up on the Official page. But that's still all in the very early planning stages.

I loved the Night of the Living Bread action figures!!!! I thought it was just hilarious. Will there be a return this year?

I sill have the Night of the Living Bread "action figure" insert. It serves as a label of sorts of my Bread films DVD. I wonder if there is going to be a special edition DVD at all?
