Both the location and the news are surprising, but cool.

Now, to figure out how much of it I can be there for, considering my brother gets married on that Sunday...

Ah, if only I still lived in Ohio, sigh...

24Hrs is wonderful news! And the presumptive "1st Annual" leads me to believe I can look forward to planning to come some other time, maybe even as soon as 2010. Good luck with this, I know you have probably been wanting to do this for a long time.

One other thing "Shock Around the Clock" is a bit cliched, but oh well, whatever sells tickets.

Yes! Will it be like "Night of the Living Drexel" Again?! I am so stoked to hear this. In fact why don't you call it that again? That was a great name! And it is technically the "Drexel" Grandview? Isn't it? This news has made my day also. Is Bruce still involved?

The Grandview Theatre is no longer owned by the Drexel, so, no, it wouldn't be.

maybe since the horror marathon is no longer associated with the Drexel Bruce and Joe won't feel the need to keep it so "artsie"...in the past movies like "Friday the 13th" were taboo but maybe now we can get more slasher films and trash horror than in the past.

This really is tremendously good news. Those of you who have been following the Grandview renovation blog will know that it's a highly ambitious plan industriously undertaken. If even a fraction of the planned changes can be accomplished, it's going to be a beautiful theater.

Far better than the likes of us deserve. We should be on our best behavior. :)

The new owner is extremely Marathon-friendly. This is a Very Good Thing.

I need to look at it again. I think the last thing I read was the cleaning of the grease trap.

All hail Bruce and Joe! The last 24-Hour Horror Marathon I went to was the one at Studio 35 with Romero. It was also my first marathon. YAY!!!!!!

Hey gang! Sorry I've been away for awhile, and havn't yet jumped on to share the excitement over this news! I've been out of town for most of the last 2 weeks, but now that I'm back.....

Woot! First of all, the news that we will have a full 24-hour horror event again, for the first time in ... what? 6 years? .... is ten kinds of awesome! I have to admit, as I get older, I'm less able to actually stay awake for the full 24 hours - but, nevertheless, it's what I look forward to! I'll probably nap during one or two movies, like the old fart I have become, but starting at 10pm and going until noon the next day leaves me just as tired - I've still been up all day saturday. :) 24 hours just feels right - bigger and better selection of films can be screened, with more flexibility and variety for things like trailers, shorts, costume and trivia contests, etc.

Second of all, the news that we're returning to the Grandview is also welcome! The marathon needs a home, and the Grandview makes a great one. I have yet to go there since the re-opening - can't wait!

Third of all - I miss all you goofballs! Be seeing you soon!
