Happy Horrors of Thanksgiving!

As those of you who attended this year's SHOCK AROUND THE CLOCK well know, we had some technical snafus, so we didn't get all that we had hoped up on the screen. To make it up to the loyal Marathoid throng, Bruce and Joe and the Grandview's David and Jennifer are delighted to present the complete batch of trailers as they had been intended to be shown. It'll be the late show at the newly reopened Grandview Theatre on Friday and Saturday, December 4th and 5th, and it'll be FREE. There'll be about three hours of trailers with an intermission thrown in. Watch grandviewtheatre.net or the official Marathon website: http://www.scifimarathon.com/phpBB2/index.php for the showtime, somewhere in the 11PM to midnight range. Hopefully the Grandview's liquor license will be in place for those not driving. We may have a few remaining SHOCK AROUND THE CLOCK posters and shirts available for sale, and we'll see what kind of prizes we can drag back from swag hell.

So please stop by. Bring that friend who you've been trying to convince to come to a Marathon and give them a taste of our special warped cinemadness. It's free and open to all. And please buy some concessions to support the Grandview.

The season's scarifying best to all!

I have it on reasonably good authority that the "start time" for this will be 11:30, both Friday and Saturday. I don't think Dave's updated the Grandview's home page, but that's what he told me last night.

Hope to see everyone there ... looking forward to it, myself. :)

Was going to go tonight but received a phone message from Jennifer that the projector was being repaired (thanks for going to all that trouble Jennifer, much appreciated) so didn't want to drive all the way up from Cincinnati & take a chance with the weather being so cold.
Hopefully, things got squared away & went well for everybody. :)

Well, to everyone who came out last night, I was thrilled to share the experience of the trailerthon with you.

I was very bummed to miss the Horrorthon this year, and getting at least a taste of it was an awesome experience (as was getting to see the inside of the new Grandview theatre).

Thanks to everyone - especially Joe, Bruce, Dave and Jennifer.

I was going to go Friday and then made the mistake of taking a little nap that didn't end until Saturday morning. <sigh>

I really wanted to go, but didn’t want to go alone. Unfortunately, I couldn’t talk anyone into going with me, so I missed it.

Modest. I'd say there was 20 or so folks there on Saturday, and Bruce said that there was about the same on Friday.
