I haven't seen much stateside on the passing of Spanish horror film legend PAUL NASCHY, but it does appear as though the story is confirmed. Many of us grew up watching Creature Feature type shows which featured poorly dubbed versions of Naschy notables such as WEREWOLF VS VAMPIRE WOMAN, FURY OF THE WOLFMAN, FRANKENSTEIN'S BLOODY TERROR and more. The advent of videotape brought more of his films to America (again usually poorly dubbed, not to mention heavily edited). He was often described as the 'Boris Karloff of Spain'. Like Karloff, his screen name was different than his given name - nee Jacinto Molina Álvarez.
Naschy appeared in bit parts in some mainstream American and European films such as KING OF KINGS, 55 DAYS AT PEKING and LIVING IT UP, but he will forever be known for his horror work.
