The venerable New Beverly Cinema in Los Angeles (home of a monthly grindhouse series) is letting Stuart Gordon be a programmer for a few days this month.

Guess what? IRREVERSIBLE is one of his picks!

Here are the others:

* Nightmare Alley (1947)
* The Swimmer (1968)
* True Grit (1969)
* Artificial Intelligence: A.I. (2001)
Amadeus: The Director's Cut (1984)

Not too shabby a list - but, TRUE GRIT?

That's great! Stuart's selection of IRREVERSIBLE for the Horror Marathon excited me because it sought to push the boundaries of the audience's definition of the horror genre. I abstained from the relevant post-'Thon discussion on this board, but I remain a strong proponent of including similar fare in any genre-specific Marathon, lest the event becomes stagnant and non-progressive.

Gotta love the ANTICHRIST/HOUR OF THE WOLF double dip at the New Bev, as well.
