As I pick up my ticket from the Grandview Theater the lobby is finished. I'm guessing by the digital photo frame did show the theater itself as finished as well.

They do have a liquor license so they do sell bottle beers and those single served bottles of wines. If they have vodka that would be great.

As of today, all of the theater seats have not yet been installed. However, David has assured me that his seat technician has already made outlines for the installment, and that it should be done in the next week or so. I'll try to get him to post here with more definite information.

Any chance of seeing at least a tentative schedule?

We're holding off on releasing any kind of a schedule until fairly late in the game. Premiere possibilities are still up in the air, and the running order could significantly change depending on the tone and pacing of any of them that might come through.

Nedron,

When I pick up my ticket last month I thought I saw a single serve bottle of a screwdriver mix drink.

Hmm, not here. We are planning on having the required components for several mixed drinks, including Screwdrivers.

So, catching up on this thread, and.... wow, I'm quite surprised to see the negativity directed toward Martyrs, coming from folks who, iirc, have complained in the past that the lineups weren't more "challenging" - even last year when Irreversible played. I'd have thought there'd be some jumping for joy from those quarters, that the marathon was finally growing some cahones, and showing a truly challenging movie.

Oh well - goes to show ya, ya can't make everyone happy.

Any updates about the premiers or last minute film replacements?

I can't wait. This is one of my favorite events every year! I'm pretty stoked on the lineup. Personally; if you had to bump something to make room for a premiere..I'd say House, considering it played at the Wex earlier this year.

A good number of marathoids come from out of town (myself included), and so probably didn't get a chance to see House at the Wex. Even among marathoners that are Columbus natives, I'd venture a guess that no more than a handful went to that screening.

My vote is, please do NOT bump House! I have not seen it, nor have any but one of my Dayton friends, and it is probably the film we are most looking to!

I'll second that motion. I've never seen House (not the William Kat version for the newbies) Dropping a film just because it plays at the Wexner Center earlier this year makes as much sense dropping Psycho from the lineup because of The Gateway Theater is screening the movie this weekend.

I rather see Dress to Kill and or Martyrs dropped to fit in Monsters and I Spit remake. According to the Fat Guys Podcast I hope Joe will get some sort of schedule posted.

I agree. Keep House. Also, keep Martyrs and Dressed to Kill. If you had to drop something, I'd still say 13 Ghosts.

I think its clear that any possible bumps would be dictated by what premiers they could secure. i.e. if they got A Serbian Film, my guess is that it replaces Martyrs or if they got Tucker and Dale, it probably bumps Slither....

If the decision is made in a bubble, without taking into account the type and tone of movie, I'd say jettison Slither. I like it quite a bit but have seen it in the theater and its fresh enough that I don't have any nostalgia for it. If I sleep this is the one I'm most likely to sleep through.

Another vote for NOT bumping House.

That's my two pennies.

How about dropping 13 Ghost and Dress to Kill. To me A Serbian Film is borderline child pornography. A Serbian film is pure filth.

Since it is easier to get a print of the I Spit Remake since it is in AMC theaters right now.
