...I don't want to be sane. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FnbYcB9ctu8 I found this after discovering it amongst the plethora of short films I saw at my festival over the weekend, so I thought I'd share. Once again I'll stress the point that both marathons should open themselves up to short film submissions. There really is a heck of a lot of creative stuff out there in short form. Not to mention it being another modest source of revenue if you make it official and charge fees and stuff like that. |

I couldn't agree more! Back in the early days of the marathon, it was neat to see Gravity, Duck Dodgers, and Night of the Living Bread, and to some extent it's nice that they've become traditions. But, the excitement of seeing NEW (or different) cool shorts trumps the nostalgia value of seeing the same ones over and over... to me, anyway. The narration was also very well-done, although I saw one comment that it should have been delivered by Christopher Walken - heh, that would have been interesting.
Anyway, I think this would play pretty well to the marathon crowd. Maybe there's a Sundance shorts reel or blu-ray disk that we could get a hold of? |
