So you miss the Horror Marathon already, do ya? You wanna recapture some of that undeniable Marathon Mojo in your everyday life? Well, as has become tradition over the last few years, I'm here to help. Here, once again, is the breakdown of intermission music for this year's event. As always, the mixes are meant to comment on the films which came before them, although that's not always a hard and fast rule. Here and there, a few songs or tracks that are appropriate to the general mood are also included. You didn't her the INFERNO mix, but I've thrown it in anyway. Now, when you the rabid faithful decide to rewatch all the films, you can have your very own custom music to channel the 'thon spirit. Enjoy!

For those looking for tons of radio ad spots and horror songs, two really good sources are the Radio Ad Spot Apocalypse sets from Ken Kish up at Cinema Wasteland(www.cinemawasteland.com). There are 3 sets of about 9 CDS that should keep you yearning for the fun of yesteryear. Also, for anyone traveling up to Chiller Theatre there are a couple different dealers who have CDs of long lost horror songs they've wanted to add to their collection. Screem Magazine is a good source. And he sells Ray Dennis Steckler shirts, too.

As an addendum to the above list, I have to note with some shame that I've been programming Louise Huebner's SEDUCTION SPELLS FROM AROUND THE WORLD on intermission mixes since 2001 or so and (to the best of my knowledge) it has never actually played during an intermission. Some of this absence has been due to the mix being cut for time reasons. But too often, I've simply programmed the track too late in the mix. Every year I repeat this practice, and every year I lament doing it. Perhaps some dark force from beyond compels my hand to move the track down in the order.

Oh well. If you're interested in the fascinating story of Ms. Huebner, check out her website at http://www.mentorhuebnerart.com/witchstuff/officialwitch.shtml. And maybe next year I'll put it front and center for one of the intermissions. Sorry Louise; please don't curse me.
