One of the films that was listed as a possible premiere for this year's marathon

*Modern day alien invasion fest Monsters.

It's a little tough to tell since there are about a gazillion movies named "Monsters", but I believe that the movie showing tonight is the one we were trying to get for this year's marathon.

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1470827/

It's showing tonight at 8 and 11:30 on a channel called "HDNet Movies" (channel 136 on dish network), but you don't need HD to watch it. (I don't have HD, and I can watch movies on that channel.)

Anyways, just figured someone here might want to watch it.

Poo - got all excited, and went to check it out. We have AT&T Uverse with a pretty highend package - something rediculous like 1000 channels, so I thought there was a good chance we'd have it.

Alas, we DO have HDNet, but not HDNet Movies - which is their premium channel, and which it is actually on. =( Oh well. Thanks for the tip, anyway!

Watched it.
I really liked it. It's probably not what a lot of people are expecting though. I'm not sure it would be considered horror marathon fare.

Watched Monsters last weekend on TWC Columbus system. It was a good movie. I was quite surprise that it kept the movie in its 2.35:1 aspect ratio. They did offer it in HD and it was the best 7 dollars I have spent.

It was listed under in theaters.

Just a heads up for everyone, Monsters will be showing tomorrow night 12/7 at 730 and Thurs 12/9 at 930 at the Gateway Theater. I have heard nothing but good things about this movie, so I hope people will check it out. Gateway's Nightmares on High Street series has gotten some really good movies that generally will not make it to Columbus, so it would be cool if people would support it.
