Yay! The 24 hour version of AMC's annual Best Picture Showcase marathon is in my market this year. Sadly, it appears as if Ohio is only getting the split two day version. http://www.amctheatres.com/bps/ I guess this is one interesting silver lining to the ridiculous notion the Academy has that 10 films are worthy of nominations. I get to go to a movie marathon without having to get on a plane. I've already seen 7 of the movies (and liked 6 of them), but as you all know, there is a certain je ne sais quoi about the experience of a full day's worth of films in a theater full of film lovers. I'm excited! |
