I don't know if The Innkeepers is playing in Columbus yet or if it will be soon, but if it does play there I urge everyone to go out and see this on the big screen. Last night the Music Box Theater in Chicago hosted director Ti West for a double feature screening of The Innkeepers and House of the Devil. Ti did a Q & A after The Innkeepers and have even more respect for him now. If you like HOTD, you should enjoy his newest movie. Like HOTD, The Innkeepers is very slowly paced and isn't for everyone, especially the OCD types, but it's a genuinely creepy ghost story. There's very little bloodshed in it, but the shocks are genuine. I really admire the attention to detail that West brings to his films and the characters and Sara Paxton as the lead is really amazing. Even if you don't like HOTD, I hope people will give this film a chance, if for no other reason than to support independent original horror films. The only way they'll make more is if people pay to see the ones that are made. If it's not in your town, call the Drexel or whatever art house theater you have and ask them to book it.

I got "The Innkeepers" on BluRay for Christmas and finally sat down and watched it for the first time last night, Ti West sure knows how to weave a wonderful story however I thought the "clues" in the "The Innkeepers" were way to vague for most people and will leave the majority of viewers with a lot of unanswered questions However if you can pick up on the clues the ending makes perfect sense. "House of the Devil" keeps you wondering but the ending wraps up all the loose ends where as "The Innkeepers" is the total opposite.
