For anyone else in my area, the Nightlight Cinema in Akron has a full slate of horror screenings throughout September and October, including some marathon favorites past and present:

LATE NIGHT LYNCH
September 12-13: BLUE VELVET
September 19-20: ERASERHEAD

PAGAN PANIC
September 26-27: SUSPIRIA
October 3-4: THE WICKER MAN

FOUR NIGHTS OF FULCI
October 9: THE HOUSE BY THE CEMETERY
October 10: ZOMBIE
October 16: CITY OF THE LIVING DEAD
October 17: THE BEYOND

NIGHTMARE ON HIGH STREET
October 23-24: THE MONSTER SQUAD
October 30-31: THE SHINING

There isn't a film on this list I wouldn't enjoy seeing. I wish I lived closer.

I agree! I didn't write in the names but each of these series is being programmed by a different member of the staff, who introduce the screenings and stick around for discussion afterwards, which I think is really cool. I think I've seen every film on the list except the Lucio Fulci ones, but I wouldn't mind seeing any of them on the big screen...except for maybe THE MONSTER SQUAD, which personally I'm not a big fan of.

Being a parent of two kids under age 10, think it is a great kiddie horror flick. I would thoroughly enjoy taking my little monsters to see Monster Squad, if only to expose them to the Universal Classic characters.

But for adult audiences, I agree that Monster Squad is the weakest on your list.

P.S. shame on you for not watching Fulci!

Yeah yeah, I know.

At the very least I'll get HOUSE BY THE CEMETERY at the marathon!
