Post subject:  Chicago horror marathon
The 5th annual 24 hour Music Box Massacre has been announced is set for October 10-11. The lineup so far is:

The Hunchback of Notre Dame
Isle of the Dead
Bucket of Blood
Blood Feast
Pontypool (midwest premiere)
Carrie
Maximum Overdrive (odd...)

and Stuart Gordon is the guest so I think it's safe to assume Re-Animator and/or From Beyond will play though they haven't been announced yet.

I'm hoping to go to both this and the Columbus marathon. It was never really worth the drive for only a 14-hour marathon but I'll do everything I can to make it this year.

Interesting how they all line up like that this year.

Chicago usually announces a full lineup far in advance. Maybe they are waiting on a guest confirmation? They have already booked Carrie and the "odd" choice of Maximum Overdrive. What do those two have in common? ...hmmmmm.
Makes you wonder if they may have something up their sleeves.
It is weird announcing a guest and not booking one of his films, too.

Well, have fun. I wish I had the means to attend just one marathon this year, let alone two.

Bah! I was hoping maybe this would be the year I'd get to attend the Music Box marathon, but that weekend I'll be in Massachusetts visiting my Mom and Dad. Oh well.
