Just to let you know (because not too many people do), House of the Long Shadows is available on DVD as an "Amazon exclusive" from MGM Home Video. I own a copy myself. It's an OK film - mostly it's fun to see Price, Christopher Lee, Peter Cushing and John Carradine all acting together. The visual quality of the transfer isn't the best though, it's just barely watchable. So be warned. It costs about $20. You can also watch the film online through Amazon for a small fee.

Thanks for posting this, I was able to locate a copy and watch it yesterday and your right the visual quality of the transfer isn't the best, this movie deserves better treatment than this. I hope it makes it to Blu-ray someday with extras, behind the scenes, making of, trailer etc. even thought its not the best movie ever made I would still love to see it on the big screen someday.

Imagine it, a typical art cinema on Chicago’s Northside. Quiet, beautiful, tranquil, and known for showing the same on screen…. except for one 24 hour period every October.

Noon, Saturday October 15th until Noon, Sunday October 16th— experience Horror on the big screen.

Featuring:
Burn Witch Burn
Hour of the Wolf
The Abominable Dr. Phibes
Gates of Hell
The Vampire Lovers
Children Shouldn’t Play With Dead Things
The Sentinel
From Dusk ‘Til Dawn
Wizard of Gore
AND MORE!

Plus Vendor tables, prizes, and Charity auctions for Vital Bridges —- Vital Bridges’ mission is to help people throughout metropolitan Chicago impacted by HIV and AIDS to improve their health and build self-sufficiency by providing food, nutrition, housing, case management and prevention services.

Special Guests to be announced soon, but one confirmed guest will be HERSCHELL GORDON LEWIS, “The Godfather of Gore” and director of such sick scarefests as “2,000 Maniacs”, “The Wizard of Gore” and “Blood Feast!”

Wizard of Gore announced too. In luscious 35mm. And I'm ashamed to admit that I don't think I ever watched the whole thing. I can go either way with HG Lewis.

Poltergeist and Pumpkinhead have been added to the Chicago lineup. You still have the better of the two, imho, but these are a much needed boost in quality to mine. Gates of Hell is still my highlight.

Wait a minute, Poltergeist is available and was not booked in Columbus?

Why do you hate me, Joe?
