I can't speak to all the reasons for your "dissapointment" with the Ohio board, but to say that "a good percentage of Boston's boards seems to be populated by trolls" is highly innacurate. Yes, we had this "Kevin Walker" guy hanging around complaining about everything (funny, he has NOT posted since the Marathon, where most gave the event a big thumbs up!), and occasionally some of our regulars ACT like trolls, but they are isolated examples.

I second the disappointment Carter. I do think that we don't have as many regulars and also our board is in it's infancy. Plus a good percentage of Boston's board seems to be populated by trolls.
I notice that our fearless leader has been posting a lot over there lately and not here.

Hopefully, he's just tied up putting together a great lineup of films and doesn't want to tip his hand too much at this point. Plus it'll take a couple weeks for the excitement to die down over there I guess. If this board is the same on the third weekend in March I will be severely disappointed.
In re-reading my post, i can say that yes I was being unfair when I said a "good percentage." I love reading the Boston boards and it makes me want to go there someday. I think the reason that the Boston boards are livelier is that they seem to veer off topic a lot which makes for interesting tangental discussions, and these are not necessarily negative for the sake of being negative. I meant no disrespect.
Plus, they do have a heck of a lot more registered users and frequent posters. I don't think the word of mouth for our annual gathering is nearly as big as we wish it were. Attendance seems to be okay for the last couple of years, so I hope that won't be a problem anytime soon. I don't know, does anyone else have any theories? Do not that many people know about us? Or do we just have a lot of lurkers?
