Yeah, I found that same listing on the Shock article. I think we still need official confirmation from The Powers That Be though...

Still have no confirmation on this, but I'm checking. As far as I'm aware neither date nor film choices have been confirmed.

I agree that hearing it from "the powers that be" would be perfect confirmation however I doubt that someone at Anchor Bay just decided to post this info in hopes that it comes true. Also that same someone at Anchor Bay went to the trouble of looking for and providing a link to the sci-fi marathon website in the Nationwide Press release.

Agree with needed The Powers at Be need to put out the official word. Anchor Bay being the distrubution arm of Starz won't put up a link on the AB web site if they know that April 21 is the date. Anchor Bay won't make s***t up.

Please make the annoucement soon about the date and Battle Royale Director's Cut.

Agreed on all of that. I just don't think anyone should make plans (especially out-of-towners) until we hear it directly from the marathon organizers. The last thing we want is for anyone to buy plane tickets and then find out someone made an error.

While I'm assuming it will be the 21st at this point, I'm not setting it in stone yet until I get confirmation.

You guys are all missing the point. Just because its planned for the 21st right now doesn't mean it'll actually happen on the 21st. If the distributors for the next 5-6 films (that they want for the marathon this year) all say that they can have a print on the 28th but not the 21st, then the Ohio Sci-Fi Marathon will call up Anchor Bay and say "can we have Battle Royale on the 28th instead?"

In other words, until its official (and even after that!), initial plans can still change.

Yes, that's absolutely true. That's why I said we should wait until we get an official confirmation before anyone makes plans. I'm not saying it WILL be the 21st or it won't. I don't know that, and at this point neither does anyone else. All we know is that plans are in motion on some level. Until we hear from The Powers That Be, the date has NOT been set. Not yet.

If this is the official date, it is better than late may.

For what little it is worth, I'd love if it were that weekend.

IF Battle Royale really IS going to show at the Ohio Sci Fi Marathon, (screams like an excited Japanese school girl). That is all. My favorite actress is in it, Miss Chiaki Kuriyama. She was in another movie that showed at the Ohio Sci Fi Marathon. It was actually the very first one that I attended. I think it was the 26th or 27th one? The movie she was in was "The Great Yokai War". Let's just say that in that movie, she didn't really BEEHIVE the way she should have. I really hope that this isn't some April Fool's joke, because I will NOT be laughing if that is the messed up, terrible case.
