Soon there will be a Fritz The NIte Owl documentary coming to DVD. I've been seeing the photos and behind the scenes info on the upcoming Fritz DVD and it is looking pretty good.
My friend,Jason,is also compiling a CD of ALL the Fritz music he used to during Double Chiller Theatre.

I've always said he would make a great guest.

I'll get ahold of Paul and see when the DVd will make it's debut. I have pretty much all the music Fritz used during Double Chiller except for a song or 2.
It's mostly 70s synth stuff like Tomita,Vangelis,Kraftwerk,Bob James.

Thanks. 8)

And I remember Fritz using music from the 1981 film 'A Ghost Story' as well as 'Forbidden Planet' too if I am not mistaken.

Either of you folks care to post a track listing? From talking to Fritz and poking around on itunes I know he used:

"Night on Bald Mountain" - Bob James
"Star Wars Disco" - Meco (I think)
"less" and "Sweet Mercy" - Erik Truffaz
"Alien Chase on Arabian Desert" - Al di Meola (I think)

I'm sure there were other tracks. He mentioned Miles Davis, but not sure which tunes. What Tomita, Vangelis and Kraftwerk tracks did he use?

"The Gnome" Tomita
Stuff off bermuda Triangle by Tomita
"Pulstar"Vangelis
"Metropolis" opening Kraftwerk
"Oxygene 2"Jean Michel Jarre
Ghost Story opening theme
I'll have a listing soon when I get the Cd is complete.

It seems the Fritz The Nite Owl documentary has been delayed until next year around spring/summer from what I'm hearing. There seems to be some T-shirts and such available if you're looking it up on Google.com to help fund the film(Video).

With the upcoming Fritz event going on and such I figured I'd ask what the progress on this was.

Hello. I was told about the talk on these forums and wanted to join in to update everyone on the status of the Nite Owl project(s).

"The Owl" documentary will be released sometime next year as we are still gathering interviews, clips, etc.

Head on over to The Graveyard and view "Nite Owl Series In Works" for further news.

I know it's been years, but I was just wondering whatever became of both the documentary for Fritz and the music soundtrack for double chiller?

Hey there. Well, Nite Owl Theatre is still going strong and is now at Gateway Film Center. The next episode is The Shining on March 28th at 11:30pm.

As far as the documentary, you can check out Nite Owl Theatre: Then & Now which you can find as a digital download via www.fritzlives.com as it has yet to be released on DVD.

And lastly, as far as a double-chiller soundtrack, we do not have the rights to release the music on its own, but you can certainly hear it on The Legacy Series DVD's also available on the web site. I am working on a list of music featured on Nite Owl's original run and will post here if I ever complete it as I am still going through archive footage.

Thanks,
Mike

Thanks for the info, I'll definitely check out the documentary. 8) Just out of curiosity, is there any music from chiller that you can recall off the top of your head that hasn't already been posted in this thread?

Hello all. I just stumbled across this vid on youtube.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P66iQOPmZWM

I was wondering if anyone could identify the music from it that has been labeled 'unknown'.

Also, I tried finding most of these to download on amazon and came up empty. Are there any other legit MP3 music services out there that might have these?
