Anyone still here? Man, I figure that the significant drop in discussion on these forums over the past year means that those of you still checking in here are the REAL hardcore crowd, the ones who definitely deserve another round of my annual hints/allusions/cruel teases about some of the films for this October's SHOCK AROUND THE CLOCK! We're pretty damn excited to roll out the EXCLUSIVE ANNOUNCEMENT of the lineup this Saturday night at the 4th Annual SHOCK-O-RAMA (What? You don't have your tickets yet? What are ya waitin' for? Off to the outlet with ye!) So here are some vague hints about a few of the titles that will pop up in that exclusive trailer reel:

-Only one film in this lineup has previously played at an Ohio 24-Hour Horror Marathon. It's an atmospheric modern classic with strong work from a special effects legend. And it'll be playing in 35mm!

-A modern minor classic starring a legendary horror actress and featuring one of the all-time oddball co-stars (considering where this person's career went from then on.)

-An atmospheric, gorgeous, disturbing, classic black and white shocker that, quite frankly, we can't believe we've never screened before.

-An underrated work by a modern master of the genre that has gained a solid reputation ever since its initial lukewarm reception.

-One of my favorite films of the past 25 years.

So there ya go! Have fun with these incredibly vague hints. See you on Saturday!

Okay, I'll guess:
Evil Dead, Evil Dead 2, Army of Darkness, the Evil Dead remake, and Birdemic

How'd I do? 3 out of 5? Maybe even 4 out of 5?

House Of 1000 Corpses?
Dead Silence?
High Tension?
The Roost?
Drag Me To Hell?
Bad Taste?

No idea.
