We should plan for the Heavy Metal Horror Marathon shortly after the New Year, who all would be interested in attending? I can offer up my house if the crowd is small (like 10 or less)

Possible titles:

    Trick or treat
    Black Roses
    Shocker
    The Gate
    Hard Rock Zombies
    Rock & Roll Nightmare
    Kiss Meets the Phantom of the Park
    Alice Cooper The Nightmare
    Wednesday 13's Weirdo a go go

Whats funny is i just won the original theatre one sheet for Trick or Treat
The poster is even mint not even a pin mark on it and i got it for 20 bucks giggty giggty...... :twisted:

Oh yea i forgot maybe some shorts..maybe the 2 videos from the Nighmare on elm street movies...

and you know pity we don't have more time i would say include "Rivers Edge"

Not a horror movie in the usaual sense but very bleak and stark BUT it has the best speed metal soundtrack ever...Slayer,All Hallows eve,Agent Orange, and Laas Rockit.

Ok thats my 2 cents Tim, am sure you have ideas on shorts if your playing any at all...

That is great news indeed. A. Matt is the voice of Iced Earths best and classic albums. and B. Tim"Ripper" Owens is a douche.

When he was chosen he was in a Judas Priest cover band in Akron. He joined priest and started slamming Rob "Metal God" Halford in the press with Redneck homophobic remarks like calling rob a "fag" and such..WTF?

Your playing pretend by trying to be that "fag" And of course Rob chose not to make any reply. He's the Metal god and Owens never will be. And the fans know this. Like in Columbus with Owens they only fill the Newport But when Priest reuntied they were on the Ozzfest tour only behind ozzy.

I saw the actual tour after ozzfest , at riverfront( same size as Poloris) and they sold out weeks and weeks with the Anthrax reunion tour opening to boot!

So ripper good luck with your personilty conflict. But hey i hear Journey, is looking for it's 3rd lead singer put on your best steve perry face lol...

I have seen Iced Earth 3 times, twice with Matt and once with Tim Owens and there was no comparison. Matt Barlow (Mr. Barlow..Salems Lot anyone) is an amazing singer and front man but Owens just isn't he didn't command the audience and his voice has no feeling, the words are meaningless coming from him but Matt sings with emotion and power that really captures the song and the crowd, Basically Matt believes in what he is singing.

Just wanted to update everyone on the Heavy Metal Horror Marathon...

we are working hard to finish our basement and I want the Heavy Metal Horror Marathon to be the first big event once its complete. I will have a better estimate on a date in the next week or two.
