The Ohio Sci-Fi and Horror Marathons

Anyone who didn't already know about Forest J. Ackerman and his fabulous magazine, Famous Monsters of Filmland should have been educated when "Famous Monster" aired at the Sci-Fi marathon.

Well, good news for fans of Uncle Forry (both new and the recently converted). Famous Monsters is coming back!

Be interesting to see how it does and what changes to the original format they will make. I loved that magazine as a kid.

It's always nice to hear a chilhood memory revived....but....

1. The readership of this mag will likely be closer in age to members of AARP than those flocking to see TWILIGHT.

2. The magazine has been 'revived' a couple of times since it initially went down in the early 80's. It has never been the same - nor anywhere near as successful as during it's heyday.

3. Without Forrest J. Ackerman - there is no FAMOUS MONSTER OF FILMLAND.
