Thanks for the update Bruce! I'm glad to know that you haven't given up despite all the monkey wrenches thrown your way this year. Marathons are to me at 35 as Christmas was to me at 7. Months of anticipation for one glorious day that's all about having fun. I think the earlier the better. The Friday the 13th weekend is a good excuse to play Jason X...

That weekend of May 14-15 is quite packed with Motor City Con,The Springfield Flea market(over 3000 dealers from around the country) and the Bigfoot Convention(in Salt Fork,OH).

May is more doable for me.

I'll be there to help out with locating prints any way I can.

May 14-May 15 works the best for me. Due to the reason that is my next chance to schedule my vacation. Thanks Bruce for the possibility of the new dates. It wouldn't hard to book the Plan 9 remake. Come on we survived the Sapceboy remake. Plus how about a new tradition of screening unnecessary remakes of bad to not so great science fiction films?

21-22 works better for me, but I'll take either and make it work.

Crossing fingers for 21-22. 14-15 is off limits for me this year.

Ugh, I have a sinking feeling that the 21-22 is going to work out better for people. Armed Forces Day weekend, there's a convention in Toledo I'm supposed to attend.

Not that I wouldn't cancel it (I DO have my priorities in line) but I'll get a ton of grief doing so.

Keeping my fingers crossed ...

Check out the Drexel Facebook page for interesting news "hot off the presses!"

(The Drexel Facebook page is not the same as the Marathon Facebook page, by the way). I suspect things will be blowing up here very soon.

Not the best possible date for me but what the hell at least it's official now and I can work around it.

    Sci-Fi Marathon
    The Bigfoot Convention
    Rock on the Range
    Alice Cooper in Sylvania, OH

Finally a date for the SF 28. I'm glad it is going to happen. Now for the movie lineup and please try to find a way to screen Gravity.

I think Bruce will be posting some more information on this soon ... there are still a few outstanding details to be finished. I think that date's solid, but JUST IN CASE I'd wait to hear it from the Host Organism himself.
