Ok Ok I know everyone is dying for the moment in the film where Patricia Neal says "Gort! Klaatu barada nikto!" so we can all imitate Bruce Campbell and say "Klaatu barada n(cough cough)" so I say we don't do it..it's to obvious and we are all above the obvious one liners

You know what? I'm right there with you on this one.

Mind you, I think there is zero chance of no one in the theatre doing it. But the fewer the better I believe.

I didn't know when or where to cough so once the movie started I just coughed whenever the old bag a bones was on screen. After the movie I felt sorry for her, she barely knew where she was and her "handlers" should of taken her off stage sooner than they did. Thanks for the tip about coughing, maybe next time you should just stay quiet.

Hypnotoad:

I do think it it's uncalled for to insult the marathon guest in the forum. She was a great sport to be there, and I think she deserves more respect than that.

Be cool.

I think you have to know where you are to be a good sport about being someplace. The only nice thing about her being there in person was the fact that we didn't have to watch a video interview from the [edit] from Beat the Geek. Maybe if the "guest" didn't have one foot in the grave I would care, all her visit did was put us even farther behind. We had to miss out on the trailers on Pitch Black because we were so far behind. Sorry, but Patricia Neal was Klaatu barada boring.

Ok ... for the record, Patricia Neal was a guest of the Marathon, and as such deserves the courtesy and respect afforded to a guest. Hypnotoad, while you're welcome to your opinion, your comments in this thread are rude, defamatory, and not welcome in this venue.

Since the best way to kill a troll is to not feed it, this thread is officially locked. Hypnotoad, if you want to insult any guest of the Marathon, find another place to do it. Continued postings of this nature will result in banning. Plus, consider yourself warned about the language.

Let it be clear to everyone. While you're welcome to post your opinions about the marathon choices and guests, you WILL do so respectfully and with appropriate courtesy to the people involved ... both those who run the marathon and the guests who are good enough to attend.
