Team 191, The X-CATS are a partnership between the Xerox Corporation and the Joseph C. Wilson Magnet High Schoool, located in Rochester, N.Y. It's mission is to inspire today's youth without regard to race, sex or national origin, and to create a demand among them to excel in science and technology. We are a "back to basics team" whose goal is to build interested, intelligent members of society who get involved and participate. The inpspiration of the student participants on our team is our number one priority. The X-CATS team of high school students and mentors compete in the FIRST robotics competition against teams through out the country and internationally. The teams are given six weeks, and a kit of parts to build a robot, and enter it in a series of competitions designed by inventor Dean Kamen, Woodie Flowers and a commitee of engineers.

The FIRST Robotics Competition is about more than building and competing with robots, FIRST is about partnerships, respect and "Gracious Professionalism".
