It Came from Outer Space in 3D? Finally another 3D flick that isn't Creature from the Black Lagoon. One of my wishes come true. Thank you Bruce.

The line up is looking great so far! Looking at the length of the movies it looks like we will need to add at least another 6, possibly 7, movies. I'm hoping for some of the following -

A Boy and His Dog (which I have never seen)

The Thing (both 1982 and 1951 versions)

Alien Raiders ( if Bruce is planning to add another premiere)

Green Slime

Runaway

Robocop

Colossus: the Forbin Project

Demon Seed

Rollerball (the original 1970's)

Adding these films would give the a nice balance of premieres, movies never screened at the marathon and some that deserve a repeat performance. :D Two weeks can not pass fast enough for me!!!

Is it too difficult to try to add the unrated version of Robocop? If Possible?

A Boy and his Dog is good, I'm afraid the slow pacing would be too much. Then THX 1138 did screen when the SCI Thon was at the Arena Grand.

Rollerball yes.

Runaway good cheesy Sci Fi flick. It did accurately predict the flatscreen TV's

Demon Seed pair it with Brainstorm or Dreamscape. Or all three films

Colossus: the Forbin Project is a good pick and also goes with Demon Seed.

The Thing from Another World for the Sci Fi and The Thing (1982) Horror Thon.

The Green Slime, heh this was originally used for the 30min pilot episode of Mystery Science Theater 3000 KTMA TV23 version. Plus a board game was based on the film. If you can get the 77min version it would be fine.

The Lineup for this year's SCI THON could have the subtitle:

26TH(2009 edition) Columbus Science Fiction Marathon: The Short Attention Span Theater edition.

I would say that this year thon is looking great. Now I hope there is still time to transfer Gravity onto a DVD. We missed Gravity and I don't mind the DVD video projection for the short or on VHS.

I still want to see Gamera the Brave as well.

Green Slime attracts good crowds in the film room at Cinema Wasteland. Everybody loves to sing thet theme song.

I was also hoping for some more films that have never been shown like TerrorVision,Bloodsuckers from Outer Space,Voyage Into Space, some Godzilla and Starman movies,Laserblast,Nightbeast(Love Don Dohler films),etc.

And hopefully the Harlan Ellison documentary,Dreams With Sharp Teeth. The trailer looks excellent.

I don't know about Documentries at Columbus Science Fiction Marathon. Last year's Spunik Mania was putting me to sleep.

I did see a trailer for Bloodsuckers from Outer Space it could be a good edition.

Laserblast I'm sorry that movie didn't go anywhere plot wise.

I am so excited about the line up so far. I'm bringing my boyfriend for his first marathon and I'm glad to see it shaping up as a good one. He's going to pee his pants.

I'm told that the IT CAME FROM OUTER SPACE booking has fallen through. Hopefully there will be another 6 or 7 titles announced early in the week.

Is it a 35mm print? 16mm? DVD projection?

I was really looking forward to seeing It Came From Outer Space. Hopefully Bruce can replace it with another classic film like Earth v. the Flying Saucer otherwise the schedule will be lacking a balance of old with the new. :(

I have to say I'm not too disappointed It Came From Outer Space appears to be out of the line up. Some of us have a real problem seeing/enjoying the old anaglyphic 3D process.
Though, if it or another 3D film shows, it does make for a nice lunch break.

Finally made it to Columbus and picked up tickets 46 and 212 yesterday. Now I can breathe easier knowing I have the tickets in my habd.

Why the split numbers? I'm the guy who bought Lord stinky feet's extra ticket.

Here are some more suggestions.

Repo Man. Punk rock sci fi.

Superman vs the Mole Men.

Hardware Wars

Empire's Strikes Back. I doubt that any of the unaltered prints are still around.

Please bring back the bread films.
