The Ohio Sci-Fi and Horror Marathons

I attended "It Came from the Drexel North" in the 90's. I have my tickets right here with me. My question is: in the World Watchfire area it says that this years marathon was the 26th annual. Is this the same as "It Came from the Drexel North" series of Marathons? All the tickets say "The Xth annual 24 Hour Science Fiction Marathon". The earliest of my tickets (I attended #4 but can't find the ticket or shwag) that I could find says the 5th was in 1991. This means it would have had to start in 1986. Which would mean the highest in 2009 could be 23rd.

Different marathons? Some time warp discrepency? Just wondering.

There are a few threads about this, but basically it is an inside joke. The 13th SciFi marathon had a time travel theme and was named the "17th Annual" marathon just for kicks. I have heard Bruce mention that he has kept the somewhat haphazard numbering system "to see if anyone would notice."

Given that the state of the marathon has pretty much been in flux since that year, it is somewhat appropriate.
