Seeing FD 3-D opening weekend for sure.

I'll be skipping Zombieween. A good friend of mine was an extra in the Phantom Jam party sequence, though, so if I hear that he managed to end up onscreen I'll have to go see it at some point.

Voted, no, not because I don't want to see them, but I rarely get out to the movies anymore.

I love Rob Zombie movies also, I was not a huge fan of his first Halloween but I do want to see what he does with part 2.

I'm in the same boat as Dennis. I wouldn't mind seeing both films, but I can barely go see all of the films I'm required to see for Comic Hero News. FD4 and Zombieween2 both make the list of "If I had time and money, sure, but not nearly cool enough to make them worth burning a babysitting use on."

I’m also a fan. Loved his first Halloween but I’m also a fan of his other work (house of 1000 corpses & the devil’s rejects). Can’t wait for H2!!!

Not really a final destination fan. The death scenes remind me of the old board game “Mouse Trap”. This knocks over that which bumps this which sends this flying over there which makes that roll to that thing over there etc, etc, etc. I just watch those death scenes and think to myself “bull crap!”

I really dug the first Halloween..I rather enjoyed the brutal starkness and pure nihilism of the back story.

Plain and simple what i enjoy most about his movies is just the pure badass from the hilt attitude that i think is completely lacking from the genre these days.

Regardless of anyone's opinions about either film, it really makes no sense from a marketing perspective to release both of these on the same day.
Zombie's film would be more suited to be released sometime, oh I don't know, maybe ...ON HALLOWEEN WEEKEND. DUH.

Halloween is on a Suturday this year and there are no major horror releases that weekend.

I'll see them but I won't like myself for it. I like Zombie's films for the most part. He did about the best you do for remaking such a classic film like Halloween. Though I thought making Michael Myers just a run of the mill serial killer with a messed up childhood was pretty lame. Michael Myers is simply the boogeyman. That's it. End of backstory. But Halloween 2 looks atrocious. All the dream sequences and/or hallucinations combined with flashbacks or whatever the hell he's doing just looks terrible. It seems like he'll do anything to fit his wife into his films. I'm not a huge Final Destination fan, but they're harmless popcorn movies. Throw in 3-D and I'm kind of looking forward to it. Kind of.
