We should add Slither since it's been bumped by the sci-fi and horror marathons now...

A Scanner Darkly
Bladerunner (don't know the last time this was shown but it's been forever since I've seen it last)
Sunshine
A Clockwork Orange
Waking Life
Resident Evil
The Matrix
Children of Men
Primer
Men in Black
Predator
The Fly
Jurassic Park
The Andromeda Strain (like the old 1960s version heavy on the science and scientific method)

Oh, and I would kill a man to see 2001: A Space Odyssey on the big screen but I don't know how feasible that is. And I'm sure it's been shown already back when I was too young to attend.

A good list, but some of those have shown recently. Check out this site for a year by year history.

I wouldn't mind watching Rubber. Or at the very least, just show the trailer to amuse the crowd:

It made me laugh.

When are they going to remake Night Of The Lepus? I think that's pretty much the last old movie that hasn't been remade yet by Hollywood over the past decade.

And that reminds me, I need to cast my annual vote in this thread for
Piranha 2: The Quickening

I cannot support a Slither screening, unless it's part of the long-awaited "Slugs and Worms" mini-theme!

Slither
Night of the Creeps
Shivers (They Came From Within)
Dune
The Lair of the White Worm
Tremors
Squirm
The Faculty
Dreamcatcher
Galaxy of Terror
The Empire Strikes Back (the asteroid worm that the Millenium Falcon lands inside)
Beetlejuice

Yea yea - I know some of them have played before (the most recent being Galaxy of Terror in '97 - when Slither was SUPPOSED to play), but many have not, and, with one exception, the ones that have (at least at SciFi Marathons) played in the 90's!

I demand that, if Slither is booked, it must be with 2 or more additional wormy movies - I'm sure someone with a more encyclopedic knowledge of film history than mine can come up with even more candidates than the above list!

Bring on the worms!
