That wouldn't be a half-bad lineup! Nice work.

Would need a bit more diversity to be an actual successful annual 24-hour Columbus sci-fi marathon, but I'd settle for half of those, mixed in with some premieres and some of the other usual fare.

Thanks :)

Note that I am not suggesting a full line-up of slugs and worms - just a "mini-theme." If at least 3 of those movies played at the same marathon, I'd be happy!

Bring on the worms!

Well I would love to see the following films: ((As for a mini-theme my personal fave "Convict Bloodsport"))

Rollerball. I think this was two years ago, but family emergency pre-empted.
TRON
The Running Man
Gamer ((Heck why not?))
Death Race ((original and remake))

Masters of the Universe
Young Sherlock Holmes
Buck Rogers televison pilot
Apollo 18 http://apollo18movie.net/

I want to add a request for a short, if possible this year or in the future. I saw the Oscar nominated animated shorts and one of them, The Lost Thing is definitely sci-fi and would play well with this crowd. Plus, I'd like to see it again because there are many jokes in the background and I know I didn't catch all of them on the first viewing.

One thing I miss at the Science Fiction Marathon is the short Gravity. How bad is the 16mm print? Is the print so bad that it wouldn't survived a transfer to DVD?

This looks great & something the Drexel may have a reasonable expectation of getting for the marathon- SUPER - look hilarious. Directed by the guy who did Slither.

Time Warner Cable (mid Ohio system) already carry Rubber on their On Demand service. Any IFC and or Sundance release that is about to be release into theaters or already released into theaters. Last night I watched Dream Home witch screened this weekend at the Grandview Theater.

Next weekend I'll watch Rubber. Unless Super becomes available.

BTW Shivers screened last year's Horror thon.

Here is some more
Gamera the original black and white filmed in scope
Forbidden World
Wizards
Fire and Ice
Robot Monster in 3D
Return of Godzilla
Tales from Earthsea Studio Ghibli version

They Live
The American Astronaut
Moon

The Hidden
They Live
Predator

Anything else on top of those three would be fine by me.

But I'll also add

Time Bandits
A Boy and His Dog
The Man Who Fell to Earth
Infra-Man
Night of the Creeps
Slither
Mysterious Island
Any Harryhausen would be great.
Gojira
