Hall of Fame ballot for the 1995 Marathon642 viewsKevin S. O'Brien was officially elected by the audience (LONG LIVE THE SECRET BREAD EMPIRE!) I'm pretty sure that I later added Bruce to the HOF on my own, as reflected in the next year's program. Whether this ace bit of brown-nosing eventually led to our current partnership, I cannot say. Flier for 1997 Marathon629 viewsSo in 1997, I went through a massive drive-in mania phase, during which I decided to move the Marathon back to my sister's basement and to program a drive-in-centric lineup. I billed the event as emanating from the Drexel North Drive-In, the world's first underground ozoner. Yes, throw your logical preconceptions out the door folks.
This would be the last (for now) video Horror Marathon I organized, as later that fall the Drexel came calling once again...

Front cover of the 1995 program.618 viewsMy first primitive stab at program-making, created with Apple Claris Works(!) and photos, etc. from old Marathon fliers and back issues of Fangoria. Oddly, THE DARK HALF, HALLOWEEN and DR. PHIBES did not play at this Marathon. But hey, my 18-year old self thought that THE DARK HALF was mega-cool, and Vincent Price is never a bad choice for 'thon graphics. (Neff)
Alternate, unused version of flier for 1996 Marathon.617 viewsThis is an early version of the flier, produced before I added the Cronenberg tribute to the lineup. Note the radical changes in the lineup between this version and the official copy...and the final program. (Neff)
